It's been about 19 months since the Covid-19 virus pandemic occurred. Many people have not really been traveling anywhere. Being in California, I thought Hawaii would be a place and perfect time to visit family and friends. But today, there is a new way of traveling either domestically or internationally.
In order for travelers flying to their destination, the nation has mandated that everyone be fully vaccinated and have been tested 72 hours before their flight. I'm happy to say I'm fully vaccinated but a little anxious about being tested again as I may be asymptomatic? Meaning I could be a carrier to the infection without knowing it and possibly infecting others even when I'm not showing any symptoms.
But I want to make sure I enjoy the experience but being mindful of my actions and thoughtful for others. We have a long way to go, but happy to report, we can at least have our masks off outdoors, indoors is still mandated to be worn.
Not quite sure how to fully "enjoy" my little time off in paradise, but hopefully I'll at least have a chance to see family and friends safely. I sure miss the hugs and smiles. For now, we can have our masks off!
